GOAL

The programs aims graduates in SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING NC II with world-class competencies and positive work values.

OBJECTIVES

THE PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY AIMS TO:

• Enable the trainees to communicate and work with others while practicing basic housekeeping procedures;

• Develop the trainees' knowledge of welding workshop practices, use of hand tools, setting up welding materials, preparing and fitting up weld materials while observing safety practice and procedures; and,

• Demonstrate proper skills in welding Carbon steel plates and pipes in specified by lay-out, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, welding procedure or oral instructions using shielded metal arc welding equipment with accuracy and to acceptable standard of the WPS.
