CAR Bags GOLD!
TAGUIG CITY, Manila – Jevo Gygni Calaustro of the Cordillera Administrative Region won the Gold in Cooking during the Luzon Cluster Skills Competition on November 29-December 3, 2017. He will represent Luzon in the Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC).
Calaustro is a 2nd year student of the Baguio City School of Arts and Trades training under the 2-year Diploma in Culinary Arts. He competed against contestants from NCR and Regions I, II, III, IV-A.
Also from CAR, Julie Ann Buaken won the Silver Medal in Restaurant Services. Buaken is also a 2nd year student of BCSAT training under Diploma in Restaurant Services at the time of the competition.

Mary Kristine Iris Pasion of BCSAT won the Best Chief Expert and Best Team for Cooking, while PD Victor Brioso of PO—Apayao received the Best Jury award.
Regional Director Efren Piñol encouraged the different CAR Provincial Offices and TTIs to participate in more trade areas in the next Skills Competitions. (Audrey Hope Dayawen)
