Special sectors given livelihood skills training
LAGAWE, Ifugao – A hundred participants, composed of the unemployed, underemployed, job-seekers, out-of –school youth, senior citizens and differently-abled persons availed of skills training under the
Community-based Training (CBT) for Enterprise Development Programs in Banaue.
The program is designed to create livelihood enterprises that shall be implemented by the trainees immediately after the course. This was made possible through the collaboration between the TESDA Provincial Office and the Local Government Unit of Banaue.
The participants were trained in Bread Making, Pastry Making, Cake Making, Basic Computer Literacy Program, Perform Haircutting, Perform Manicure and Pedicure, Perform Hand Spa and Foot Spa.
TESDA provided the training tools, equipment, supplies, materials and trainers’ fees while LGU-Banaue recruited the participants and provided the training venues and other facilities. The toolkits will be used by the beneficiaries in starting their own businesses.
