TESDA provides training materials to children with special needs
BONTOC, Mt. Province – In support to the Agency’s development agenda for special sectors, the TESDA—Mt. Province turned over baking supplies and materials to the Special Education (SPED) unit of Mt. Province General Comprehensive High School on December 18, 2017.
The SPED unit will use the supplies and materials for the training in Baking of 22 students who are a mix of hearing-impaired and intellectually-disabled children.
In his message, RD Efren Piñol committed to continue TESDA’s assistance to the SPED unit of Mt. Province General Comprehensive High School.
Mr. Atkinson Tudlong, the school principal, expressed his grateful appreciation for TESDA’s training and assistance. He remarked that it responds to their goal of equipping their students with practical life skills. He is hopeful that despite their disabilities, these children will have a chance of using their skills to help their families and become productive members of the community.
