TESDA, BJMP ink MOA for reintegration of PDLs
BONTOC, Mt. Province - The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Mountain Province forged a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the reintegration of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) on June 19, 2018.

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Mountain Province signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to provide skills training to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL). According to David B. Bungallon, Provincial Director of TESDA Mountain Province, the MOA will answer one of the 17-point agenda of President Rodrigo Duterte in providing reintegration programs to PDLs through skills development.
Accordingly, the BJMP will identify the skills needs training of the PDLs, while TESDA will design the training programs.
The two agencies, along with other partners, will jointly implement the identified program and the beneficiaries will receive a training certificate and a National Certificate or Certificate of Competency if applicable. These will be their evidence of the skills they have learned and could be used when they rejoin the community.#
