TESDA-Abra empowers community thru digital literacy training
DAGUIOMAN, Abra- A total of 43 barangay officials, and Local Government Unit (LGU)employees have received free skills training on computer literacy to empower community with digital literacy and improve their services to the public.
“Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) have been providing trainings on Computer Literacy at the community level especially to these sectors to further improve their capability in serving the public,” said Kevin Chester Tarriela, Computer Literacy trainer.
With the five-day training on Computer Literacy, the participants were able to produce certifications, letters, lay-out templates, report of checks issued, annual procurement plan and other various reports commonly used in their offices.
The LGU through the Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC) Alejo Badeng and participants are very thankful to TESDA for providing this training that could help them prepare better reports through the use of computer.
In 2018, a total of 267 members of the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) community received computer literacy training from TESDA, while 140 have completed the training as of June 2019. (Fred Baroña/TESDA-Abra).
